Friendship is a Two Way Street!
For the last release of the year, here is Nettaigyo wa Yuki ni Kogareru chapter 25, the beginning of what will eventually be volume 7. Thanks to the anonymous donor for these raws as always, and because of that and the one month break it had in November, I wanted to get this out before the end of the year. Also, as a reminder, Viz's official release of volume 1 is already out, so if possible, please consider buying the official releases to support the series.
It has been slow lately getting a lot of the chapters for other series out, but all I can say is that they will get done when they get done. Things aren't as they once were, but I am still trying to make it work as best I can. So I'll see you all in 2020. May you all have a Happy New Year.
PS, due to temporary unforeseen technical difficulties on my end, the chapter will be up on Mangadex on the 31st. It is however up on Dynasty.

Learn to Love Yourself!
Now for the latest Fukaboku with chapter 16. The next chapter is scheduled for early January, probably the 10th.
And in case you missed it, Seven Seas Entertainment licensed it under the official English title Love Me for What I Am, and the first volume is scheduled for release in June 2020. So if you enjoy the series, please consider buying the official volumes from SSE next year.

Oh Brave New World, That Has Such People In It!
A little late, but here is Kanoboku chapter 32.
And also please excuse the rather low number of releases as of late, especially when there is still Giniro and Bokumaho to get to, although I am also still trying to keep up with the more frequent projects like this one at least.

The Changing Ups and Downs!
Finally we come to the end of Lazy Guy volume 1 with two bonus chapters at the end of the volume and a one-page afterword.
Edit: On closer examination of the raws obtained from the Manga Up! app, they are of a suitably poor quality compared to the raws from the first volume that it is not worthwhile to work on the raws from the app. That, and obtaining the raws via the app may prove difficult and/or impossible in the future. It would perhaps be different if it was distributed via a different app, and certainly if the manga was in a normal black/white format, but the colored format makes the raws from different sources look very different, and even if the color can be tweaked to a point, there are unwanted artifacts that show up, in addition to some blurring that occurred as a result of the pages being uploaded onto the app in the first place (so even before attempting to rip the raws), all of which makes the prospect of working from the app's raws very unappealing.
So I would rather prefer to work from the volume raws, although I don't know when the next volume would be expected to be released. Even if the schedule of 2-3 weeks per full chapter remains, the next volume probably won't be released until next spring or summer, so anytime between May and August as a rough estimate. So it's unfortunate, but it will be better in the long run.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow!
And now here's the latest Fukaboku release with chapter 15. The next chapter is scheduled for release on December 6, so it's going to be a long wait.

Change Never Felt So Sweet!
Here are Lazy Guy chapters 7 and 8, corresponding to chapters 11 and 12 from the web series, meaning that we're now caught up to what had already been released, so everything after this point is totally new content. For these two chapters though, there is very little new content, excluding a couple of pages from chapter 7, and obviously the two title pages above.
Today also happens to be October 5, the 9th anniversary of Hachimitsu Scans. It has really been a wild ride over the past decade scanlating tons of manga for your reading pleasure, from the golden age of genderbending manga around 2010/2011 in terms of its breadth and diversity, all the way to today where (good) genderbending manga is relatively few and far between, or even if there are some good ones, other groups pick them up first. That is generally a very good thing for readers obviously, since more groups interested in doing that sort of manga will mean more of a chance to read such series in the future, unlike how it was a decade ago when very few groups would do any genderbending manga at all, which of course was the whole reason for Hachimitsu Scans to be created 9 years ago.
But things have changed, and will continue to change. The most welcome change has to do with the digital availability of raws nowadays compared to a decade ago, either from free online magazines/websites that post the raws (Niconico Seiga, Comic Walker, Pixiv Comic, etc.) or from digital sales of manga volumes or magazines. So now it's a lot more inexpensive to legitimately obtains raws. For comparison, on average, it would cost around $10-15 per physical volume when buying them from Amazon, but with digital releases for the Kindle, each volume costs around $5-6 on average, so around half the price of what it used to cost, making it even easier to support the authors directly from digital sales. Plus, you don't have to wait for it to be shipped (although that was really fast through Amazon, even if not instant as with digital sales). This is why the era of physical raws has now pretty much officially come to an end, and going forward, I expect almost all the raws I work from to come from a digital source.
Regarding the availability of new manga I would want to scanlate, that has generally been hard to find over the course of the past year or so, which is why Kanoboku has been the only new series I picked up earlier this year. Still, if I do find a new manga that I'm interested in, or if one of the authors I like starts a new manga I'm interested in, I'll probably end up scanlating it if another group doesn't do it first. So I'll see what happens in the coming months.
But 9 years is still something I would have never imagined back in 2010. Life expectancy for translation groups generally isn't that long for any number of reasons, and being one of the "established" groups that is still around feels pretty weird, but my attitude towards Hachimitsu has largely stayed the same over the years, and I still enjoy the work involved as long as there are people who enjoy and appreciate that work. I know I did towards scanlation groups long before I started learning Japanese, and that appreciation only grew once I realized how much effort goes into doing a proper job at scanalating. That support I've received has mainly kept me going along with the love I have towards the series I work on, even if working on them can sometimes get really annoying, but it's all worth it in the end.
So thank you to everyone for all of the support over the past 9 years, and I hope to keep going for a good while still to come.

When Friends Are Needed Most!
Here's Nettaigyo chapter 23, the latter half of what was originally a single chapter with chapter 22, so if the last chapter felt a little incomplete, then this chapter makes up for it. Thanks as always to the usual anonymous donor for the raws in helping to get these out so quickly. Also, here's to hoping that an anime will be announced soon now that it has enough material for a 12 episode series.

Brandish Your Crystal Tresses in the Sky!
Finally, Madowanai Hoshi volume 4 ends with chapters 37 and 38, along with some bonus content at the end. If feels just like yesterday I was starting on Moyashimon, and yet that's already been complete for about a year and a half. Obviously, Madowanai Hoshi is a different series, but it has a lot of the same charms that Moyashimon had, although the long wait between volumes isn't ideal, with only one volume a year, and the next one expected to come out next year sometime around April or May, going by past release dates.
In the meantime, the third and final volume of Giniro no Genders will finally begin, alongside Bokura wa Mahou Shounen volume 3. But next up, the latest Nettaigyo chapter.

The Bright Side of Change!
Here are A Lazy Guy Woke Up as a Girl One Morning chapters 5 and 6, corresponding to chapters 8-10 from the web version. Very little was changed from the web version to the completed version other than more fleshed out backgrounds and the title page of chapter 5.

The Luck of Cross-dressing!
Happy Friday the 13th! To celebrate, here's My First Love Was a Beautiful "Girl" chapter 6. The title has been updated from About a Guy Who's Been Destroyed From His First Love Being a Pretty Girl ♂, because the new title is the one used in the serialization for the volume release.
There's very little difference between the web version and the serialization, other than the serialization being monochromatic and some of the pages have improved art for backgrounds and scenery, but the basic layout of the pages, in terms of the character art and the bubbles, remain the same. The web version is now a sort of preview of the finished chapters published in the volumes, and as such, there are some things in the web version, and specifically this chapter, that are clearly unfinished when it was posted recently.
Still, the chapter itself is complete, even if some of the scenery is still in the sketch phase on a few pages. Also, some of the pages appear to be the finished version and are therefore monochromatic, so this release is weirdly a blend of both the unfinished and finished pages,. But anyway, enjoy.

Back from its hiatus for medical reasons Makoto Hagino was dealing with last month, here's Nettaigyo chapter 22. According to her Twitter account, this chapter was originally a single, 91-page chapter, but this was split in two for size concerns, with the next chapter coming next month. Thanks to the usual anonymous donor of the raws, which has been invaluable to getting these chapters out on time.

A Change for the Better!
After a bit of a delay, here are the first two chapters of the serialization for A Lazy Guy Woke Up as a Girl One Morning. The first volume contains reworked and expanded versions of the web chapters, in addition to some new stuff at the end of the volume. For comparison, these two chapters correspond to the first two web chapters, but where the web chapters together were only 8 pages, these two chapters have 20 pages combined.

There's been a long delay with getting to this, but here are chapters 29 and 30 from Madowanai Hoshi volume 4. Only one volume of this series comes out a year, which is why the last time this was worked on was June of last year.

Finally, Bokura wa Mahou Shounen volume 2 ends with chapter 12. Volume 3 will most likely be out in late September, and I'll probably be working on it shortly thereafter for once with this series.
In the meantime, there are still Madowanai Hoshi v04 and Eden no Otome v03 to do, in addition to the new stuff from Kina Kobayashi's two current ongoing series (Lazy Guy and First Love). Also, Giniro no Genders v03 got delayed until August, but it's the final volume, so at least it won't be long until that series is complete.

Finally, here's Nettaigyo chapter 21, fresh off of its one month break so as to put out volume 5 a couple of days ago. This also marks the 2-year anniversary since the series began. As always, thank you to the usual raw provider for this series for buying the magazine raws.
