I Heard the Owl Scream and the Crickets Cry!

So with Bokura no Hentai chapter 33, volume 8 comes to a close, which unfortunately means we'll be waiting 3 months until volume 9 comes out in November at the same time as Sakura no Sono's second and last volume.

Seeing as how a lot of the earlier conflict surrounding Marika, Yui and Parou has been resolved as of late, Bokura no Hentai may be close to ending, but it will obviously continue for at least another 2 volumes. We'll just have to wait and see, but hopefully this series continues beyond that.

Next up, the extras from Himegoto volume 6.

  6. A heartfelt 10/10. I wasn't sure for some time, but after reading this chapter I can honestly say that this is my favorite manga of all time. Even better than Hourou Musuko. Thank you so much for translating this series. <3

  9. The manga is amazing indeed. Every character is believable in their actions, the drama is perfect, can't wait to see what happens next. I even like it better than Hourou Musuke. Thank you so much for translating this :)

There's one minor criticism I have though. Please listen and think about it. Maybe you could consider stopping to use the word "trap" for a passing crossdresser or t-girl.. A trap is something you set with ill intentions, it is meant to deceive. The word in itself contains a negative judgement over the crossdressing. I know it's short and snappy and I'm sure you weren't aware when you were using it. But in the end "trap" is just bad memespeak; it's poisonous and kinda makes me cringe when I read it in a manga like this.

OK, w/e. Thanks for your time!

    1. For better or for worse, 'trap' has become a widely recognized term in the animanga community for a very specific archetype, referred to in the original Japanese as 'otokonoko' (男の娘). We would only ever use the term trap when otokonoko comes up because otokonoko does not translate well into English. A 'trap' is not merely a cross-dresser, by definition they are not trans, and other similar terms like 'drag queen' or 'girly boy' (the latter of which is probably the closest literal translation of otokonoko) have their own baggage in terms of their connotations. In the end, no disrespect was meant. If we were going to use another term to translate otokonoko, it would have to encapsulate all the attributes of what that term describes, and currently, 'trap' does that already.
