As a Scorpion to Her Sight!
For our last release of 2016, we're ending the year with chapters 15 and 16 of Nanashi no Asterism, bringing us to more than halfway through the volume, as we near the end of our 4-volume, 2-month Nanashi marathon. But with the series still ongoing, there's much more left to go for sure considering the series' pacing.
Now for the year in review. This was a pretty standard year, in which we picked up seven series, four that are still ongoing (Shimanami Tasogare, Shitei Bouryoku Shoujo Shiomi-chan, Seito Kaichou desu ga Josou Hajimemashita, and Nanashi no Asterism) and three that ended (Shounen Princess, Hanayome wa Motodanshi, and Okama Hakusho), in addition to five other series that also ended this year (Sakura no Sono, Bokura no Hentai, Yuri na Watashi, Boy Skirt, and Mori no Takuma-san). Not to mention that we finally finished a few of those old Waai series back in April. Other than that, our other five ongoing projects all got releases this year, despite some hiatuses.
And so, here's the all-important mass-update for all of our ongoing projects, in order of what's coming first. In February, Mizutama Honey Boy v05 comes out, followed by the much-anticipated first volume of Shiomi-chan about a week later, so we'll be working on those that month. After that, we think going by how many chapters they have released right now, that Ookami Shounen v04 and Nanashi no Asterism v05 will both come out in March, although one or both could easily come out a month later. Naturally, Seito Kaichou will continue on a monthly basis, and we expect there to be more from the recent Boy Skirt 4-koma releases soon.
The other ongoing projects are a little harder to pin down. However, we can be reasonably sure that Shimanami Tasogare v03 and Shounen Oujo v06 will both probably come out later next year, most likely sometime between August and October. For one, Shimanami's bimonthly schedule means that only one volume comes out per year, and although Shounen Oujo should be on a monthly schedule, it's plagued so often with hiatuses that we really don't except it to come out until the second half of 2017.
That leaves two other series. Heroine Voice has been on hiatus since October, and although we think it'll restart in Comic Rex next month, it's just as likely that it won't. And of course, there's Kuragehime, which has been on hiatus in Kiss for a year now since January 2016. Frankly, we don't know why Akiko Higashimura won't just write the 5 or so last chapters to finish it off, since it was pretty obvious with the last volume that it was close to its conclusion, and if you've forgotten since it's been so long, it was reported way back in September 2015 that the series was close to ending. So please, Higashimura, if at all possible, we would love to finally finish this series that we've been working on for over 6 years now.
As for any new projects, although we won't give any specifics beyond what we've already stated, there are a few series we're already looking into working on next year, two of which we've mentioned before. The first is Nisekoi Boyfriend lovely, the sequel to Ataru Yamamoto's Nisekoi Boyfriend two-part one-shot that started serialization in Be x Boy back in September. Its first volume, we hope, could come out by around mid-2017, or earlier if we're lucky. The second is Ayumi Komura's as-yet unannounced new series. Assuming she hasn't decided to retire, we will be doing whatever her next series is. In addition, we will be releasing that Ten x Taiyou BL one-shot soon. We bought it, and it's pretty clear that it's just a one-shot, but at least Komura finally released it after having announced it way back in 2014.
So, we hope you had a great 2016 and that our releases somehow made it a little better. It's looking like 2017 is gonna be a pretty good year, and we hope to see you back again for more gender bender goodness, as always.

Cross-dressing is the Way to Go!
All right, so first up is Seito Kaichou chapter 4.
The second release is a very interesting development. A couple weeks ago, Tomohiro Shinohara posted on his pixiv account the first part to a 4-koma sequel of sorts to Boy Skirt featuring a new main character. And then a few days ago, he posted a two-page second part to it, and both "chapters" are included in this release totaling 10 pages. So, it seems that this is going to be a continuing thing, and we'll be releasing the chapters whenever they show up on pixiv.
Also, there was again no chapter of Heroine Voice this month, probably because Tsukudani was working on her Comiket releases.

The Last Bite is Always the Sweetest!
Finally, with the release of Mori no Takuma-san chapters 23 and 24, the series comes to an end. Oddly, this is the third December in a row that we've completed a series by Ayumi Komura, and the fourth series by her overall. Ayumi Komura continues to surprise us with her unconventional stories and unique comedy unlike really any other shoujo manga author out there today. And so, whatever her next series may be, you can bet that we'll be doing it.

The Secret Ingredient is Love!
After a lot of work over the past few days, Mori no Takuma-san returns with chapters 18, 19 and 20 from the fourth and final volume. So we hope you enjoy what this series still has left to offer.
Also, in related news that you may have already seen, Ayumi Komura is actually going to draw a Ten/Taiyou BL series online starting on December 22! Readers of Usolily may remember that she wrote about drawing a Ten/Taiyou BL story at the very end of Usolily v17, which was released two years ago in late 2014. Although we had often checked the Margaret app throughout 2015 for it, she never released it, so we thought that it got canceled for some reason. But we are so glad that after all this time she's finally getting a chance to release it, and it even looks like it's going to be more than one chapter, so probably at least enough chapters for a single volume, we hope.

All Her Secret Thoughts!
After several days of hard work, we can finally release the first chapter of a series we've wanted to do for quite a while. This is Nanashi no Asterism (Nameless Asterism) by Kina Kobayashi, a shoujo ai series that's been serialized in Gangan Online since June 2015, and it currently has three volumes out, with a fourth coming out later this month, meaning a huge amount of content until we catch up to the latest volume. And the chapters are all pretty long, too. The story is as follows:
Tsukasa Shiratori, Nadeshiko Washio and Mikage Kotooka are three close-knit friends in junior high school. For almost a year, Tsukasa has been harboring a secret she can't tell anyone: she has a crush on Nadeshiko. She resigns to keep it locked away forever, but then discovers that Nadeshiko has a crush on Mikage. Not wanting to mess up their current relationship, Tsukasa decides to support Nadeshiko in any way she can. However, Mikage has a secret of her own that she can't share with anyone.
And so, we'll be working on this throughout November to see how far we can get before the fourth and last volume of Mori no Takuma-san comes out later this month (if you haven't heard, the last chapter gets published in a couple days).

Timing is Everything!
It's been a relatively quick volume, but here's Shimanami Tasogare chapter 10 as we come to the end of volume 2. Most recently, chapter 11 was published in Hibana earlier this month, but since it's on a bimonthly serialization schedule, the next volume will likely not come out until August 2017. The wait sucks, but it's unavoidable.
As for upcoming volumes for our other projects, most of them won't be out until next year, but Mori no Takuma-san v04 will be out in late November, and we expect that Shiomi-chan v01 will be out in either December or January. And Kuragehime continues it's almost year-long hiatus with no plans on returning to its serialization in Kiss until next year whenever Akiko Higashimura actually wants to finish it.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
Finally we come to the end of Mizutama Honey Boy volume 5 with Junko Ike's one-shot Android Box. Mizuki Kuroha, the daughter of the president of a company that develops and sells androids, has become fed up with her unemotional father, especially as the anniversary of her mother's death approaches. Mizuki runs into the newest android from her father's company named Lin, who unlike other androids is able to express emotions.
As mentioned on the preview page at the end of the volume, volume 6 comes out in February, so it's only a few short months away. But there's still that 30-page booklet we'll be getting to shortly.

Mizutama Honey Boy chapter 23 is done, which is the last main chapter from the volume, leaving an unrelated one-shot left to do followed by the 30-page special booklet volume 5 came with.
Edit: Also, Junko Ike mentioned a promotional video for the series released to advertise volume 4. You can see the video on Niconico, or you can download it here.

Don't Hold Back What You Love!
After a long 7 month wait, Shimanami Tasogare makes its triumphant return with chapter 6 at the start of volume 2! As we had stated before, this manga is published on a bimonthly schedule in Hibana, which means a long time between volumes, but that also means that it gives Yuuki Kamatani more time to draw each chapter that really exemplify the author's attention to detail. This chapter also comes with a bunch of color pages, and it is well worth the wait for such a beautifully drawn series.

The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful!
After a short break from releases for the past 10 days or so, we're back with Mizutama Honey Boy chapter 19 at the start of volume 5. The volume was released in a regular and special edition featuring different covers, and the special edition (which we have) also comes with a 30-page booklet containing some bonus manga and illustrations that we will also be doing once this volume is complete.
We will also be receiving Shimanami Tasogare v02 later this week, so we'll be working on that when it arrives.
And in other news, we recently found out that Ataru Yamamoto has started a serialization of her Nisekoi Boyfriend manga in Be x Boy as of last month titled Nisekoi Boyfriend lovely, and it's a sequel to the original 2-chapter story we worked on a couple years ago, so we are super excited about working on more of it when its first volume arrives sometime early next year.

A New Lease on an Old Life!
In part to celebrate our 6-year anniversary, we are finally pleased to present the second project we've picked up this month. This is Shitei Bouryoku Shoujo Shiomi-chan (Designated Violent Girl Shiomi-chan) by Kazurou Inoue of Midori Days fame. The manga recently started serialization last May in Shounen Super Sunday (the chapters are also later posted online), so it shouldn't be too long before the first volume comes out in the next couple of months. The story is as follows:
Gen Shiomi, the 56-year-old boss of the Hitotsubashi mob syndicate, must go into hiding to protect his life from potential assassins. He opts to get plastic surgery, only to end up looking like a teenage girl, but he resolves to stay like this until his life is no longer in danger. However, he finds it hard to not be suspicious, but he is saved from being the target of police by a teenage boy named Tatsuya Umemiya. After helping Tatsuya out of some troubles of his own, Gen is forced to enroll into junior high school as "Shiomi Iwao", only to discover that one of his new classmates is Tatsuya.
So this series is great if you're looking for a ridiculous new series. As a side note, the title is a play on shitei boyryokudan, a term used to describe powerful yakuza groups. Also, Iwao comes from an alternative reading of Gen (巌).
Over the past 6 years, we've released over 1,000 chapters across dozens of series, we've had over 800 posts to the blog, and have had over 3.5 million hits to the blog. Not to mention that we've received over $1,300 dollars via donations over the years, which has been a huge help in the buying of almost all of our raws. Not bad for a group essentially started on a whim that's almost exclusively dedicated to gender bender manga.

Cross-dressing Opens the Door!
To start off October, we have a brand new series to introduce. It's Seito Kaichou desu ga Josou Hajimemashita (I May Be the Student Council President but I Started Cross-dressing) by Youichi. It's a 4-koma that recently started serialization on Yuruyon, which originally posts the pages on its Twitter account. Later, the pages are compiled into chapters on Pixiv Comic's website, which just posted the first chapter a couple of days ago. In addition, you can check out Youichi's pixiv account, where he published some bonus illustrations for the series. The story is as follows:
Jun Shiraishi has longed for years to be friends with another girl, something she tells a guy who tries to ask her out one day. Spurred on by his feelings for her, he grants her wish by cross-dressing and making friends with her as "Nai".
It's a cute series, though the chapters are very short. This is currently the only chapter on Pixiv Comic, and it will probably update near the end of every month.
