I'm not sure what to take of those last 2 chapters... On one hand, I really liked seeing Purple going all out for his little brother and how he did everything up until now for him...
On the other, it just feels a bit weird... Like who is gold, and how they can be a magical boy while behaving like that and stuff... It feels like some seriously deep corruption within the Tokimekian society in a way, and Momo seem to not do anything about it at all... It's really weird.
Not to mention those crazy inflated numbers, like... In one week Pink got 368 crystals, while the 8th spot had... 2,630,000 IIRC? I mean... Isn't that a bit absurd? Even for a single year? I mean, 52*368= 18000ish. So Pink-chan was getting less than 1/100th of what the 8th place got... And then you tell me Gold got like, 150,000,000,000? Which is basically 50000x more than the 8th spot? It's just so... So absurd!
When you look at all those numbers it just feels so weird. I wonder if the author just threw random numbers out there without thinking too much or if they were hinting at some crazy thingy going on that made them able to get such absurd number of crystals... Like, as if basically everyone was acting the same way that Purple acted before meeting Pink and stuff, though by doing some even worse stuff and what not.
I'm curious on how this arc will end for sure~

I feel like Gold gets away with behaving like that simply because of how many Light Crystals he gathers and just how famous he is. After all if he suddenly stopped gathering them the Tokimekian world would lose their biggest source of Light Crystals. Which I'd imagine would have a pretty massive negative impact on their world which relies on them so heavily.
As for the massive numbers of crystals I wouldn't exactly put it past the other higher ranking members of the Crystal Eight to be doing bad things to get them. After all as we saw before Purple changed for the better he wasn't against using easy ways to get lots of crystals. So someone like Gold who seems even more arrogant and egotistical surely isn't getting such an insane number with honest hard work. It's also fully possible that Gold's minions are helping him to get so many crystals. Since in Chapter 19 we could see Makato pouring the crystals he gathered in with the ones Kaito had gathered. So if Gold's army of minions is doing the same thing it could very easily allow him to gather a far greater number.
