Million Dollar Jellyfish!
Chapter 15 of Kuragehime is released, and we are halfway through the volume. This comes to about 2/3's of the way through episode 8. The chapter title comes from the 2004 film Million Dollar Baby. Not much else to say other than, Happy Valentine's Day. Just think of this as a gift in place of chocolate from us.
We would also like to take this time to inform our readers that, sadly, we will be taking another hiatus, for about a month. It's pretty much unavoidable, and while we feel sorry for it, we would like to thank the readers for understanding. See you all around St. Patrick's Day.

Usotsuki Lily, That It Is!
Here comes Usotsuki Lily chapter 14, with the start of volume 3! This was a very...interesting chapter to translate, mainly because, unlike before, Kojirou has a lot of speaking parts. He has a unique way of speaking that is likened to how samurai speak, and if you've watched or read Rurouni Kenshin or some other samurai work, you'll probably be familiar with some of them at least.
In the past, Kojirou's speech was translated using archaic English words like "thou" or "thee", but this time around, it was time to standardize Kojirou's way of speaking so as to better express some of the nuances of his speech. Kojirou has three patterns he uses:
- "de gozaru": This is a more polite form of "desu", roughly meaning "it is". It is translated as "that it is", or something similar to that, and says it at the end of almost all of his sentences, so it can get kind of annoying, but you get an idea how polite he's being.
- "Sessha": He uses this pronoun to refer to himself, roughly meaning "this unworthy one" or "this humble one". It is translated as "this one", and this too is repeated a lot.
- "Ze yo": This is basically a short affirmation, and can be translated as "yeah" or "yep". He almost never says this, and carries less nuance, so it's not as important (or annoying) as the first two.

Edit: Thought this might come up, but forgot to make a note. Page 14 has two white thought bubbles, but this is correct. The bottom of the page, where they say they can't think of anything, implies this.

Jellyfish Market!
Moving along, Kuragehime chapter 14 is done. Differing from the usual pacing of half a chapter per episode, this only goes to about 1/3 of the way through episode 8. They seem to have started accelerating from here, because two more chapters cover the rest of episode 8. What does this mean? The anime actually extends past volume 3 into volume 4, and on top of that, a bit of the content from volume 5 was spliced into the end of the anime.
The chapter title this time is a little ambiguous. since it's not absolutely clear where the author is taking the reference from, but here are three possibilities:
- Roman Holiday: A 1953 film staring Audrey Hepburn.
- Dove's Holiday (Hato no Kyuujitsu): A short video which ran on Nippon TV from 1953 to 2001 signifying the start and end of broadcasting for the day on the channel. It was restarted in 2008.
- Tokyo Holiday (Tokyo no Kyuujitsu): A 1958 Japanese film.

The Season of Cross-dressing
We are proud to present the release of Usotsuki Lily chapter 13 which ends volume 2 of the manga. To think that we've come so far in such a short time as to finish our fourth complete volume in only a short four months. This manga continues to be a lot of fun to read and translate, and here's hoping that an anime will be made within a few years! With how popular trap series are these days, it might not even take that long.

Jellyfish Implants!
After a slight hold up in the release, Kuragehime chapter 13 is out with the start of volume 3. This comes to about the end of episode 7, though some of chapter 14 is in there as well. The chapter title comes from a series of novels titled "Rotten Financial Islands" (Kinyuu Fushoku Rettou) by Ryou Takasugi. A film and TV drama based on the series were also produced.
