It's the Perfect Time to be a Princess!
As our last release of 2011, we are proud to present to you what we've been doing since Christmas. After much work and toiling around, here's the first chapter of the shoujo manga Shounen Oujo (Boy Princess) by Utaku Yukihiro, who based the story on Zenko Musashino's original concept.
The story follows Albert, a poor boy living in the Queendom of Morrigan, a country where women rule over men, who have no rights. While out on the town with his friend Theodore, Albert and Theo are abducted by slave traders, but are luckily bought by the servant, Guy, of a rich noblegirl. It turns out the noblegirl is 11-year-old Princess Alexia Lumiere, heir to the throne of Morrigan, who wants Albert, who bears a striking resemblance to her, to act as her double.
As you can imagine, men are treated very badly in this female-dominated society, and it seems selling boys into slavery is a common occurrence. The setting takes much of its influence from France in the 1700s, and this is mainly reflected in the architecture, and how the character names are pronounced. Albert, for instance, should be pronounced with a silence t (same as Colbert), and Guy is pronounced with an "e" sound, as in tree. Furthermore, the currency used is the reugny (roo-ni) (pl. reugnies), which comes from a French town. As such, in lieu of using "-sama" when it came up in the text, Madam and Monsieur are used instead. Also, you may notice that the title Mimic Royal Princess comes up a few times, usually inlaid between the kanji for Shounen Oujo. This is an alternate English title to the work the author's thought up.
And here's a nice color insert from the first chapter when it was published in the magazine Sylph. It's black and white in the volume release, so enjoy.
Lastly, happy new year to every one of our readers, and we'll see you in 2012.

A Very Lovely Christmas Eve
Here's the extra chapter from Love Allergen volume 3, out a little earlier than previously expected. It's a short bonus chapter that focuses on the three characters above. The main attraction has to be Aki, whose family situation is finally touched on.
Well, this is it for Love Allergen for a while. It looks like the next volume will be out in late March, going by the spacing between previous volumes. However, we probably won't be working on it until May for a few reasons. In the mean time, we'll be working on other projects (which are more than enough to keep us occupied). If Love Allergen is the only one of our projects you follow, we hope to see you back here in May.
And a Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to everyone! Hope the rest of 2011 goes well for you.

Without Love, It Cannot Be Seen
Chapter 22 of Love Allergen is the last main chapter of the volume, with only the bonus chapter left until after the release of volume 4. There's a lot going on in this chapter, and it feels somewhat disjointed at places, but it's a good way to end the volume.

Do You Love the Movies?
And yet another Love Allergen with chapter 21. We expect the volume to be finished after Christmas.
And thank you to all who have donated thus far, making it easier for us to buy the volumes and provide you with quality scans. It's very much appreciated. Practically the only way we can show thanks is getting our releases out as fast as we can, while not compromising quality.

A-Maze-ing Love!
Our third Love Allergen chapter of the week is chapter 17, the thrilling conclusion to the last chapter's events. I guess one good thing about relatively short chapters is that we're able to get them out quicker. Enjoy!

All For One, and One For All!
Finally, after about a five month absence, here's chapter 15 of Love Allergen with the start of volume 3. We do feel sorry for the long wait, but at the same time, the wait between volume releases is 7 months for Love Allergen, meaning the fourth volume won't come out until March anyway.

Trap Magi Ayumu Majica!
Today we have the first chapter of the second new series from Waai, Otasuke Miko Miko-chan by Hiroichi. Ayumu Mikoshiba is a boy in junior high whose family runs an old shrine with few worshipers. In an effort to revive the shrine, Ayumu's parents decide he'll be the next in a long line of magical girls in the Mikoshiba family. Together with Fuu-chan, a small fox-like mascot character, Ayumu protects the peace of his town while cross-dressing. Overall, it's a cute series and looks promising. It's pretty different from what a regular magical girl series would be like, too.
About salvaging Kaichu and Oto-boku from WOW!scans, we do not intend to pick up either of these series. We already have a good amount of series we work on, and we're not interested in working on them.

Student Council Trap Mania!
Today we start with a surprise and a rather long blog post. In Waai volume 7, there are two new series, and we're scanlating both of them. The first is a 4-koma called Himegoto by Norio Tsukudani, and tells the story of Hime Arikawa, a second-year high school student down on his luck with a huge debt, not entirely unlike Hayate from Hayate no Gotoku. While running from some yakuza debt collectors, he is saved by the members of his school's student council, three beautiful and quirky girls. Hime is simply too cute for his own good, so this one is highly recommended.
There are a few things that should be explained about the translation. The first is the name of the vice president, who is only known by her alias, which is translated as "18+-san", as in 18 or older / adult only. The original text is 18禁さん (18-kin-san / Juuhachi-kin-san), so 18+-san is what we went with. The next thing is the name of the secretary, Albertina. The original text for Albertina is アルベルティーナ (Aruberutiina), so for short she says to call her ベルさん (Beru-san). This is translated as "Bell-san", since that's what it'd normally be. Lastly, on page 11 there's a piece of paper with some text on it that'd be nearly impossible to read at the resolution these pages are set at, so we attached an original-sized version of the panel with the piece of paper at the end of the chapter with our usual credits page.
Also, the artist drew some lovely color images of the characters and posted them on Pixiv two weeks ago. Below is the composite image of the four characters, and (for those who don't have a Pixiv account) the download link below has the larger single images as well; or, if you do have an account, you can head over to the image's page.
Moving on, today we also have the final chapter of Onna no Ko Tokidoki Otoko no Ko, chapter 7. Admittedly, this series wasn't that good, and the ending leaves much to be desired, but here you go.
Now, this is regarding Love Allergen. Originally, we had planned to start volume 3 in November, but there were various things that prevented this from happening. The first, and perhaps most obvious, is that Kuragehime vol. 8 and Usotsuki Lily vol. 5 took longer than previously expected to finish. After they did finish, however, there were already comments asking for the Josou Shounen sequel chapters we had mentioned weeks before, so we wanted to get those four out finally. When they were done, we decided to finish the ninth Josou Shounen volume first, as there were only 3 one-shots left. However, when those were done, Waai vol. 7 came out, and now we're working on that. We do feel bad about Love Allergen being pushed back, but we haven't forgotten about it.
As we said, there are two new series in the current issue of Waai. The second is called Otasuke Miko Miko-chan. We're going to release the first chapter of this next (which has three bonus color pages), and then we'll start on Love Allergen vol. 3. After that's done, we'll return to Waai and do the three one-shots that came in the current issue.
Lastly, Katagiri asked about raws last time. Please check our FAQ page for our policy on raws.

If Today is the Past, then the Future is Now
To start off December and our many Waai releases, here's the sixth chapter of Past Future. It's a nice little chapter, and I wish it wouldn't be another three months until the next chapter. On a related note, translation is done for Reversible chapter 7, and it's been handed off to Maigo, who will do most of the grunt work: cleaning, editing, typesetting, etc. It could be up to another two weeks or more until that's released however. In the mean time, more releases from Waai are on the way.
In semi-related news, we know what series are getting new installments in the latest Josou Shounen volume. They are: Kokuhaku (ch. 6), Restaurant Debut / Boku no Koto Suki ni Natte (ch. 3), Dousei Chuu! (ch. 2), Marmalade Boy (ch. 2), and of course the usual Josou Debut (ch. 5). It'll probably be a while before these get released, however.

The Highs and Lows of Cross-dressing!
Finishing up the last of volume 9, Apple Group, here's two more one-shots by familiar artists. The first is Mizugi datte Daijoubu! (Even a Swimsuit is Okay!) by Akio Nanae, the author of Girl Friend and Kawaii Mune no Uchi. In it, Hikaru cross-dresses as one-half of an idol unit with his female partner Nozomi. As per the title, swimsuits are also a feature.
The second one-shot is Binbou Kyoudai (!?) Monogatari (Poor Brothers (!?) Story) by Shimesaba, author of Ore to Josou to Yuurei to. This one's mainly about Tarou, the eldest of
We'll be getting our hands on the raws for our Waai releases in a few days, so we'll be starting on those soon. As we're going to be doing the majority of the series from the magazine, please be patient.

Boy Meets Trap!
Here's our fifth release from the ninth Josou Shounen volume called Boy Ghost Girl by Wasabi. Kyouya moves to Tokyo and encounters the ghost of a boy in his apartment, Akira Amamiya, who wanted to cross-dress before he died. It's very cute, so please enjoy.
To Anonymous, we don't know the status of Zenryoku "Otome" or if it will get more one-shots at this time.

Josou x2!
Today we have the fourth installments of Kasukabe Koukou Josou-bu by Sakuya Yuuki, and Josou Debut by Emiri from the ninth Josou Shounen volume, Apple Group. There are no new announcements at this time for further continuations, but the tenth Josou Shounen volume comes out in a few days, so you never know (just so you know, we won't have it right after it's released, so please be patient). If our next release comes after Thursday, we'd like to wish our American readers a Happy Thanksgiving.
To Hayate, there's really no restriction on our releases, as long as Hachimitsu Scans is credited.
To answer Anonymous, we did not plan on releasing the preview page for volume 6 at the end of Usotsuki Lily volume 5, but I guess we could do it if you want. Edit: Here you go. Just right click and save the image.

Bonus Lily!
And here's the rest of volume 5 of Usotsuki Lily. The first 12 pages are of a bonus manga called Boy's Lily, followed by 6 pages of the author's afterword. As we've said, we'll now wait until the release of volume 6, which will be at the end of December. However, we might not have it right when it comes out per money issues. We'll try to get it as soon as we can once it's released.

Makeover Lily!
We're almost finished with Usotsuki Lily volume 5 with the release of chapter 34; only 18 pages left of bonus material, and then a semi-short break until the release of volume 6. Regarding the title page, if you were wondering what all that English is, try googling some of the sentences. It turns out they're parts of articles from old American newspapers. As to why Komura would do that, your guess is as good as mine.
An anonymous commenter last time asked for the clarification of the translation of Zenryoku Otome. The closest translation would be All Out Girl or All Out Maiden, playing on the fact that Nozomu tried his best to fool Shuuji (and everyone else) into believing he was a girl.

Time for More Traps!
Today, we have two of the sequel one-shots from the ninth Josou Shounen volume, Apple Group. The first is the fifth installment of Kokuhaku and the second is the second chapter of Zenryoku "Otome". Both are very cute, and highly recommended for all trap lovers.
Following this, we'll finish up the rest of Usotsuki Lily volume 5, and then continue releasing from Apple Group. First up from that will be the fourth chapters of Kasukabe Koukou Josou-bu and Josou Debut, followed by a few new one-shots.
And the next issue of Waai is coming out at the end of the month, so expect new chapters of Reversible, Past Future and the final chapter of Onna no Ko Tokidoki Otoko no Ko.

Side Plot Lily!
Here's chapter 33 of Usotsuki Lily, and as you might guess from the title page, it's another side story about Gotou and the class rep. There's one more main chapter left in the volume, and then the bonus manga Boy's Lily and the usual afterword.
Now that Kuragehime's on a small break, we'll be getting back to the Josou Shounen one-shots we had said we were gonna do in November. So there's two of those coming next week. Near the end of November, we think we'll be starting volume 3 of Love Allergen. As previously stated, Otosuki is on hiatus until the release of volume 2, which will probably be sometime early next year.

Jellyfish Memories
Beginning with our November releases, chapter 44 of Kuragehime will be the last main chapter for a few months until the release of volume 9, which should be in January or February. We'll finish up the volume 8 extras next week, though. I wish they would go back to having 6 chapters per volume; 5 just isn't enough. And Then There Were Jellyfish!
As expected, here's the next chapter of Kuragehime, chapter 43. The chapter title comes from Agatha Christie's classic 1939 novel And Then There Were None, though I am unsure why.
There was one small issue with the translation of a joke on pg. 100, pg. 4 of this chapter, where Tsukimi brings up the manga Moyashimon. It makes no sense in English because the joke is lost in translation, but I thought I'd explain it here anyway. Nisha says a line about making clothes with more normal designs, and she uses the wording "dezain mon" (as she has a Kansai accent). Tsukimi gets confused about this wording, and wonders if it's similar to "Moyashimon" as they sound similar. Not coincidentally, Moyashimon and Kuragehime are both published by Kodansha.

Cross-dressing Traps!
After another long wait, the return of Usotsuki Lily is here with the beginning of volume 5, chapter 28. If you're interested on seeing what the title page looks like in color, see here (on the left, about halfway down). At first you may think the blog post title is redundant, but you'll understand after reading the chapter. Thanks for all the words of thanks on the previous post; it was very surprising to see so many comments in such a short time. On a side note, as we are attempting to focus our efforts on getting more Kuragehime and Usotsuki Lily out, we'll only be working on these two series for the time being. So more Love Allergen and Josou Shounen will come in November.

Return of the Jellyfish!
To start off October, and our one-year anniversary, here's chapter 40 of Kuragehime, back again after a four month wait! It's great to be working on this manga again after so long, and we hope the wait wasn't too hard. And think of it this way, when we're done with this volume, we'll only be a couple chapters behind the magazine releases, as we were back in late May. The chapter title comes from the 1995 Indian film Muthu, known in Japan as Muthu: The Dancing Maharaja (Muthu Odoru Maharaja).

Occult Trap Mixers!
Rounding up our September releases, these are three more one shots from volume 8, Melon Group, introduced in order of decreasing page count, from 16, to 8, to merely 4 (not counting the author pages). Funnily enough, the shorter the title, the longer the work, and vice versa. The first is Okaken!! by Nariyuki Hazumi, the same author as Doppel! we released. Kurono joins a club called Okaken, thinking it's a club for people who like the occult. However, he soon finds this is not the case. If you've read Doppel!, you'll probably like Okaken!! more (I did).
The second is Doushite Kou Natta by Hiro Haraya. A boy is asked by his sister to cross-dress and come to a mixer she planned.
The third is Hajimari wa Itsumo Totsuzen..., and for such a long title you'd think it'd deserve more than 4 pages, but oh well. It's by Madoka Hoshino, and has a similar plot to Doushite Kou Natta. In this one, a boy is asked by his sister to take her place at a mixer.
To answer the anon's question about the file formatting, there is a method to our madness, even if it seems arbitrary. Saving to PNG is better for normal black and white manga pages, while JPG is better for color. That's just how it is, so we're not gonna change the formatting.
And now for a final note. Our next release probably won't come for another week, which, if all goes well, will coincide with the arrival of Kuragehime volume 8 and our other stuff. So enjoy these one-shots, and we'll see you in October!

Maids, Underwear, and Ghosts!
Here's three more one-shots from the eighth Josou Shounen volume. The first is Mezame no Ippo? by Miyuki Nakayama. When Yuki is asked by his girlfriend Chiaki to work at her maid cafe, he can't refuse.
The second is Made in Otome by Kinu Arikawa. Kazuya Otomein's mother has decided that he'll be the next president of her lingerie company Made in Otome, so he transfers into a girl's school to better understand girls and lingerie. This one's told in 4-koma format.
The third is Ore to Josou to Yuurei to!? by Shimesaba. Tooru talks to a ghost of a boy and finds out he wanted to cross-dress before he died. So, Tooru goes to his trap friend to figure out a way to let the ghost pass on.
And now for an update on the ninth Josou Shounen volume, Apple Group. There are four series that got more chapters: Zenryoku "Otome", Kasukabe Koukou Josou-bu, Kokuhaku, and Josou Debut. I am very surprised to see the latter three got more chapters, but am happy nonetheless. So look forward to more from those!

The second one is called Marmalade Boy by Bau. An older brother is concerned about his odd behavior when around his younger trap brother. This one's very short at 8 pages.

Just as Planned: More Traps!
Today we have the second and third installments of our previously released Josou Debut one-shot by Emiri. Since it's been a little while from that release, you may want to go back and re-read the first one-shot, though it's not entirely necessary. The second one-shot, Zoku Josou Debut, was in volume 7, Plum Group. The third one-shot, Josou Debut Shita Ato, was in volume 8, Melon Group, our first release from that volume. As mentioned before, the ninth volume, Apple Group, will be out in a few days, and we're eager to see what'll be in it.
Also, as Kuragehime volume 8 is now out, we'll start on that as soon as we get the volume, which should be in early October. We can't wait to get started on it again, as it's been about 4 months since we last worked on it. As we used to, we'll be releasing it with chapters from Usotsuki Lily volume 5 back to back. It's also a funny coincidence that our restarting of those two manga will coincide with our one-year anniversary of being a scanlation group. My how the time flies when you're scanlating manga.

Hungly for More Traps!?
Today we have a couple more one-shots from the seventh Josou Shounen anthology, Plum Group. The first is Osananajimi Rival, another one-shot by Mari Manishi, the author of Henshin! we released before. Kento Hiiragi is rivals with his childhood friend Nao Fujikawa, a girl his age. When she starts becoming more like a girl, he takes this as a challenge.
The second one-shot is Dousei Chuu! by Benny's, the author of Hitomeboressu!! that we did. When Shinya's uncle and aunt go overseas, he has to take care of his two younger cousins, Tsubasa Fujisaki and his younger brother Subaru. However, he's surprised to find both cross-dressing.

The Year of the Trap
Today we have a couple of old one-shots from Waai that never got released. The first is called Nonono. by Reku Fuyunagi and it was in the first issue. It's about a trap named Nono who goes to his lesbain friend Sei to become cuter than he already is. The second one-shot is called Yome ♂ by Zenzai Yoshihira and it was in the fifth issue. It follows Usagi Mitsuki, who recently married his shrine's trap god Runa. This one had some pretty...interesting lines. Hope you enjoy them both.
