And Then There Were Jellyfish!

As expected, here's the next chapter of Kuragehime, chapter 43. The chapter title comes from Agatha Christie's classic 1939 novel And Then There Were None, though I am unsure why.

There was one small issue with the translation of a joke on pg. 100, pg. 4 of this chapter, where Tsukimi brings up the manga Moyashimon. It makes no sense in English because the joke is lost in translation, but I thought I'd explain it here anyway. Nisha says a line about making clothes with more normal designs, and she uses the wording "dezain mon" (as she has a Kansai accent). Tsukimi gets confused about this wording, and wonders if it's similar to "Moyashimon" as they sound similar. Not coincidentally, Moyashimon and Kuragehime are both published by Kodansha.

Shopping for a New Jellyfish!

Here we are again with our weekly release of Kuragehime, chapter 42. This marks the middle of volume 8, and it'll be over before you know it. The chapter title comes from the 2009 film Confessions of a Shopaholic.

Tiger Lily!

Here's chapter 29 of Usotsuki Lily, the second chapter in a row that doesn't focus on Hinata and En, but there's still a lot left in this volume for that. A slightly different color version of the title page is right next to the last color page we mentioned found here.

Edit: Pg. 26 fixed and a v2 uploaded; thanks for catching it.

Jellyfish Spies!

Chapter 41 of Kuragehime is done. At the pace we're going, it looks like it'll still be a while until the end of the volume if we only release one chapter a week. The chapter title comes from the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me.

Cross-dressing Traps!

After another long wait, the return of Usotsuki Lily is here with the beginning of volume 5, chapter 28. If you're interested on seeing what the title page looks like in color, see here (on the left, about halfway down). At first you may think the blog post title is redundant, but you'll understand after reading the chapter. Thanks for all the words of thanks on the previous post; it was very surprising to see so many comments in such a short time. On a side note, as we are attempting to focus our efforts on getting more Kuragehime and Usotsuki Lily out, we'll only be working on these two series for the time being. So more Love Allergen and Josou Shounen will come in November.

Return of the Jellyfish!

To start off October, and our one-year anniversary, here's chapter 40 of Kuragehime, back again after a four month wait! It's great to be working on this manga again after so long, and we hope the wait wasn't too hard. And think of it this way, when we're done with this volume, we'll only be a couple chapters behind the magazine releases, as we were back in late May. The chapter title comes from the 1995 Indian film Muthu, known in Japan as Muthu: The Dancing Maharaja (Muthu Odoru Maharaja).
