Just Play Along!

After a couple months since the last release, here's chapter 5 of the Boy Skirt 4-koma series. Tomohiro Shinohara posted on Twitter a couple of months back that his releases for this would start to be a lot slower, only releasing two or three pages a month at most, so this chapter includes pages released from late March up to a few days ago, so it's only 7 pages long. The reason being that Shinohara started a new manga called Nibiiro no Hako no Naka de on Line Manga in late April, but it still looks like he'll be continuing the Boy Skirt 4-koma for now. Also, the above color illustration was posted to his Twitter account a couple of days ago.

And in other news, we had a look at Norio Tsukudani's Twitter account today and discovered that she had updated her profile to show that Heroine Voice is now listed as having "2 volumes in total" (written on the profile as 「ヒロインボイス」全2巻). Previously, she had listed it as having completed "part 1" of the manga, and this is also shown on the last page of chapter 10 which said on the margin that "Part 1 is complete", so we had assumed that she had merely put the series on hiatus with the intention to continue it later. However, considering that the series did not seem all that popular, and it had a conclusive ending of sorts with chapter 10, it's possible that the editors of Comic Rex (published by Ichijinsha) simply cancelled the series. Also, she recently started a new series called Futaba-san-ke no Kyoudai published by Hakusensha, so it's likely that she is done with Ichijinsha. So if you want more from Tsukudani, you can check out her new series, currently being scanlated by Raptor Scans.

Cross-dressing is the Way to Go!

All right, so first up is Seito Kaichou chapter 4.

The second release is a very interesting development. A couple weeks ago, Tomohiro Shinohara posted on his pixiv account the first part to a 4-koma sequel of sorts to Boy Skirt featuring a new main character. And then a few days ago, he posted a two-page second part to it, and both "chapters" are included in this release totaling 10 pages. So, it seems that this is going to be a continuing thing, and we'll be releasing the chapters whenever they show up on pixiv.

Also, there was again no chapter of Heroine Voice this month, probably because Tsukudani was working on her Comiket releases.

Summers Come and Go, but Skirts are Forever!

After a lot of work over the past month, we now come to the end of Boy Skirt with chapter 13. This was a series that really deserved to be longer, and maybe if circumstances had been a little better, we could have at least gotten another one or two volumes so that the ending didn't seem as rushed. Although even when it was plagued early on by hiatuses, Boy Skirt still gave us a lot of good moments, however short it was. So for one last time, please enjoy the ending of Boy Skirt.

And as an added bonus, we've compiled a collection of manga snippets and illustrations for Boy Skirt that Tomohiro Shinohara posted on his Twitter account over the past couple of years or so; a few of them were also reposted to his pixiv account. It may not be much, but at least it offsets the almost complete lack of bonus content in the second volume.

Now for a status update for our other projects. Ookami Shounen v03 just came out a couple of days ago, and Shounen Oujo v05 comes out in about a week, both of which we will be starting on relatively soon early next month. But in the meantime, we still have nine chapters left to finish up Okama Hakusho, and also the long-overdue second volume of Mori no Takuma-san which we will be working on just before volume 3 comes out in a couple of weeks.

Beyond that, Mizutama Honey Boy v05 comes out in October, Shimanami Tasogare v02 will probably come out late this year or early next year, and unfortunately, Kuragehime has been on hiatus since January.

When Have Skirts Ever Been Unlucky?

Happy Friday the 13th! We are pleased to present Boy Skirt chapter 6 at the end of volume 1. Since the manga has only just recently restarted its serialization in Miracle Jump last month, it will be a while until volume 2 is released, probably about 5 or 6 months. That is, as long as this manga doesn't go on another hiatus.

Next up is Full Dozer v03. We're still waiting for these 4 volumes to arrive: Bokura no Hentai v09, Sakura no Sono v02, Ookami Shounen v02 and Shounen Oujo v04. We'll be working on those over the course of December and January.

There's More to a Skirt Than Just Looking Cute!

I hope you're ready for more, because Boy Skirt chapter 3 is already finished, which marks the halfway point of the volume, and the initial run of the serialization before the long hiatus. It seems that they waited to put out the volume until the manga would restart in Miracle Jump, which was in the latest issue on October 20 (the volume came out the day before). At any rate, we hope that's the last time we hear the word hiatus in regard to this series, unlike two of our other series which have been plagued by hiatuses for a while (Shounen Oujo and Kuragehime). But anyway, more Boy Skirt is soon to follow.

Skirts: The Ultimate Weapon!

Finally, the long, long wait is over as we finally get back to Boy Skirt since we released the first chapter way back at the beginning of the year. Due to this manga being on hiatus for about six months, this volume was delayed by at least four or five months, but I assure you, the wait has been worth it if you liked what you saw from chapter 1.

In addition to releasing chapter 2, we also have a v2 for chapter 1 which includes the stuff from the volume, including the covers, title page and table of contents; the chapter itself remains unchanged except for some edits on the last page to bring it in line with the volume release. The volume itself is huge (210 pages, about as big as the largest Usolily volumes) and is already hard to get on Amazon, so it looks like it's already in its second printing.

Skirts Are a Trap's Best Friend!

The year has only barely started, and we're now ready to announce our first pickup of 2015: Boy Skirt by Tomohiro Shinohara! This is a seinen manga that just recently started serialization in Shueisha's Miracle Jump magazine in November, so it currently only has two chapters out. However, like what we are doing with Full Dozer, we are releasing the first chapter from the magazine raws, but we will be waiting for the first volume to come out before we continue it. So even though there will probably be a 4 or 5 month wait until we get to chapter 2, we are committing ourselves to doing this series (and didn't want to take the chance of some other group taking it while we wait for volume 1 to show up).

Boy Skirt's story is as follows. On his first day of high school, Yuuya Ochi is shocked to discover that the girl sitting in front of him in class is actually a guy named Shigemitsu Izumi. Unable to simply ignore it like the other guys in class, Yuuya can't stop thinking about Izumi and wonders if he's actually a girl, especially after Yuuya sees Izumi waving to a good-looking guy who he suspects is Izumi's boyfriend. Intent to find out more about who Izumi really is, Yuuya follows him after school, only to end up being dropkicked by him over a misunderstanding. Izumi later tells Yuuya that he started cross-dressing to put his twin sister Yurika at ease, who is extremely afraid of guys. However, Izumi confides in Yuuya that he has one other reason why he cross-dresses, something Izumi has never told anyone else.

If nothing else, this is a funny manga with very beautiful art, so if you check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Next up, we'll be starting on Kuragehime v15 which just came out in Japan yesterday, and we'll be working on it in conjunction with Hibari v02 for the time being.
