The Lies End When the Truth is Revealed!

At long last, after working on Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mo Uso o Kasaneru now for about 3 and a half years, we can officially complete the series with the updated releases of chapters 30, 31 and 32. Also included at the end of volume 5 is the bonus chapter previously released as chapter 26.5 and a one-page afterword, the only content truly new from this volume.

In terms of when we picked up the series, this was our second-oldest ongoing series after Shounen Oujo, and now that it's complete, Mizutama Honey Boy is now our second-oldest ongoing series, and the only one left that we started in 2015, which was also when we started Ookami Shounen. During that time, we've seen many projects come and go, but none quite like Ookami Shounen, and we are going to dearly miss this series as one of our all-time favorites. We're definitely interested in seeing what namo does next, though they still have yet to announce a new series.

So we hope you enjoyed the improvements to the last volume as we move yet another series to our completed page.

The Truth Always Comes Out!

It's been a long time coming, but we've finally gotten around to redoing the final chapters of Ookami Shounen using volume 5's raws. This means the pages are of a higher resolution, the volume covers are included with chapter 26, and there are some other minor changes to the typesetting, including editing certain lines to make them flow better. Anyway, here are chapters 26 through 29, more than halfway through the final volume. We should be done with the series in the next few days.

The Truth is...

At last, it is time for the final chapter of Ookami Shounen with chapter 32. We've now been working on this series for almost three years, and during that time, it has become an amazing series, and one we loved every minute of working on it. Although it would have been nice to see it go beyond just 5 volumes, the story was paced very well for that outcome, so we're not complaining or anything; better for a story to end when it ends instead of dragging it out forever. We're gonna really miss this series, and we're sure we won't be alone in that sentiment.

As for what comes next, we still intend to redo all the web chapters when volume 5 actually comes out next year, so although this is the end of the series, we're not completely done with this series just yet. So we hope you all enjoy the final chapter of this wonderful series.

Per an anonymous comment on the last release, here's chapter 16.5 originally released before volume 3 came out. Most of its content was included at the end of volume 3, but for whatever reason, the title page and one of the 4-koma pages wasn't, but the entirety of this bonus chapter is included in this release regardless (since that's how it would have been had we released this before we did volume 3). So there are only 2 new pages, but please enjoy.

And so with the release of Ookami Shounen chapter 27, we're all caught up with the series for the moment. The next chapter will be released in about two weeks.

The Truth Between the Lies!

With the release of Ookami Shounen chapter 25, we come to the end of volume 4. Also included at the end of the volume is some bonus manga.

And although normally this is where we would say see you again when volume 5 comes out, recent events have made it abundantly clear that, at least for this series, we cannot afford to wait for the next volume to be released to continue it, especially since we suspect it will be the last volume, going by the developments in volume 4 (though we have been wrong before, so you can take that with a grain of salt). At any rate, we have decided to continue the series with the online raws as they become available every month, starting with chapters 26 and 26.5 released back in May and June. Currently, only chapter 27 is left to do, which we will be getting to shortly, and then we'll be caught up until the next release.

And also, we will be redoing these chapters from the volume raws when those become available too, so no quality will be sacrificed in the long run. Thankfully, this is a relatively easy series to scanlate, and if it was any other series, we probably wouldn't do this because of the extra work involved.

The Other Side of Truth!

After exactly 10 months since we last worked on this, Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mo Uso o Kasaneru returns with chapters 18 and 19 with the start of volume 4, and this volume has the most chapters of any volume thus far, which also means that the chapters are on average smaller than most of the chapters up to now. But as such, there's a lot of content this volume, so although it shouldn't take us that long to complete this volume (this series being our easiest ongoing project by far), please enjoy.

Also, although there was a question over whether the characters were in junior high or high school as outlined on our last post for the series, namo recently confirmed on Twitter that the characters are in junior high. So for some reason, Ookami Shounen's official website itself is (as of this writing) still wrong in that it clearly says Itsuki is in high school. You'd think that someone would have fixed that in the three years that this manga has been serialized online, but I guess someone just derped. Glad to the see the author finally confirm it.

The Moment of Lies!

Ookami Shounen volume 3 ends with chapter 17, which also includes some bonus 4-koma at the end of the volume. Currently, the manga is up to chapter 18.5 on Comic Clear's website. So, volume 4 could be released as early as March, but could easily come out a month or two later.

Also, there is certain detail in the bonus content that I should attempt to clarify. Botan says twice that she is in junior high, but we know from chapter 4 that she is one year younger than Tokujira, and thus also one year younger than Itsuki. However, the description for the manga on its website (which is also shown on the blurb on the back of volume 1) says that Itsuki's in high school, so they should all be in high school. The only way this makes sense is that they were supposed to originally have been in high school, but somewhere along the line, namo changed it to them being in junior high instead. Otherwise, Botan saying she's in junior high is a typo, but it's on two pages in the bonus content, making that less likely. So at this point, I don't know whether the characters are in junior high or high school.

For our other projects, Mizutama Honey Boy v05 and Shimanami Tasogare v02 come out in October, and we will be working on them as soon as they arrive. But in the meantime, we'll be working on Mori no Takuma-san v03.

There's More Than Just Love in the Air!

It's been a little over 7 months, but Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mo Uso o Kasaneru returns with chapters 12 and 13 at the start of volume 3. We've now been working on this series for about a year and a half, and thankfully because this series didn't go on hiatus, we can do more than one volume this year.

Oddly, this is now our third-oldest project from when we started working on it in early 2015, owing to a lot of our older series ending over the past year and a half, and most of the series we've picked up since then having already ended. We just hope that Ookami Shounen will continue for many volumes to come.

Eyes are the Window to the Soul!

And now we come to the end of Ookami Shounen volume 2 with chapter 11. Currently, the series is up to chapter 13 on Comic Clear's website, meaning that volume 3 probably won't be out until sometime between July and September. That's assuming there aren't any hiatuses, which could easily push it as far as say November, which is when volume 2 came out, far later than we had expected last year.

Up next, we'll be doing the latest chapters of Heroine Voice and Yuri na Watashi. After that, here are some updates on our other projects. Mori no Takuma-san v01 comes out in late February, and then Bokura no Hentai v10 comes out about 2 weeks later. Everything else doesn't have a definite date, but Mizutama Honey Boy v04 will most likely come out in early April, and Boy Skirt v02 will probably come out later that month, too. Sometime between March and May could be when Kuragehime v16 finally appears, but as for Shounen Oujo, it probably won't be out until late 2016, maybe sometime between September and November. So please look forward to all of that and more.
