____ the Maids!

Feel free to put whatever word you like into the post title, because this is the final time for Otosuki with the release of chapter 14 and the end of volume 2. And the color image at the top was taken from Chikage Mitsukura's blog. It was fun working on this series, which just happened to coincide with most of the Olympics, since we started working on it a couple of days after it started, and ended it on the day of the closing ceremonies. Here's hoping that Tokyo win's their bid for the 2020 games.

To answer sage's question from last time, you've probably taken a look at our FAQ page, so you should already know our stance on distributing raws. That's why we put it in our FAQ.

Now onto upcoming releases. Usotsuki Lily will be returning in early September, probably right around when we get the raws of the next issue of Waai. After we're done with those releases, we'll be restarting Kuragehime and Shounen Oujo, most likely in early October. The delay on the latter two is due to the release date of Kuragehime v10 in mid-September and shipping time. Through the end of the year and beyond, we'll be peppering our releases with Josou Shounen continuations, including Kokuhaku, Zenryoku "Otome", Josou Debut, Boku no Koto Suki ni Natte, and others, including some new one-shots if we can.

With this, we finish yet another of our main series, and our second to be completed in the past month after the end of Love Allergen. You may be wondering if we're going to be picking up a new series to take their place, and all I'll say is that we already have a series in mind. It's very new, and just started it's serialization earlier this year, so look forward to it, whatever it may be. To be clear, it's not related to Waai or Oto Nyan, but it is a gender bender series.

We had received numerous requests via email for new series and to finish some old ones that got abandoned, but we have not accepted any offers to date. Our FAQ says it's doubtful that we'd accept a request, but of course it does not hurt to ask. However, please understand that our resources are limited, and we're usually able to get releases out quickly because of the number of series we work on concurrently, and of course, we must have a vested interest in any series we do.

We realize that since the re-death of 14BiQ Scans/WOW!scans last May, that again leaves us the sole trap-centric scanlation group (that I know of), which unfortunately leaves a lot of series undone and incomplete, but in the end, we do what we can for the promotion of gender bender manga, and maybe even hope to inspire other similar groups to pop up and compete for the hearts of trap lovers everywhere. A quick look at our earliest releases will tell you we had the most basic of knowledge of the scanlation process (we're still embarrassed about this little fiasco), but we have gained experience and in the end, let the quality of our (more recent) releases do the talking. So stay tuned for the next phase of Hachimitsu Scans.

I'm Here to Serve

Only one chapter left to go with the release of Otosuki chapter 13. I guess the manga wasn't all that popular in Japan, but then again, series get canceled left and right in Comp Ace.

To answer an anon's question, the artist, Chikage Mitsukura, has not worked on any other manga according to Baka.

Here's chapter 10 of Otosuki, the shortest in the volume. More soon to follow next week.

Slurp Slurp!

One day later, here's chapter nine of Otosuki. The chapters are all relatively short, hence the quick release.

Welcome Back, Master!

After a long hiatus, we're finally starting the second and final volume of Otoko no Ko wa Maid Fuku ga Osuki!? with the release of chapter 8. It was a surprise to us too that the manga ended after only two volumes, but at least the manga will be complete soon.

Trap Maid Complex

As we said last time, here's the last two chapters of Otosuki volume 1, chapters 6 and 7. There are no more volumes or raws currently available, so this manga probably won't continue until the second volume gets released, which will probably be sometime late this year, or more likely, early next year. Next up, we're doing Sazanami Cherry and Past Future to start with our Waai projects.

To answer some questions, first Usotsuki Lily. Yes, the fifth volume has come out, but we won't have it until early October, primarily because of money issues. Even if we could get it a little earlier, honestly, it would only be a matter of a couple of weeks earlier. You've waited about 3 months already, so the matter of a couple weeks doesn't seem like much. This is the same reason why Kuragehime won't be started until October as well, though the eighth volume comes out in about 10 days. Love Allergen will continue after we're done with Usotsuki Lily vol. 5 and Kuragehime vol. 8.

An anon also asked about the status of Kokuhaku. We don't know if anymore chapters will appear in future volumes, so I would say don't get your hopes up about it continuing. Kokuhaku is the only one-shot in all of the Josou Shounen anthologies to get 4 chapters, so that's more love than most of the others get, but we hope it continues too.

Cross-dressing Dates!

To start out September, the first chapter we have today is chapter 5 of Otosuki. The second is the one-shot Zenryoku "Otome" by Cuteg, from volume 7, Plum Group. Nozomu goes out cross-dressing one day and is saved from a molester on a train by Shuuji, a college student.

The short delay from our usual schedule was in part caused by the translation of Reversible chapter 6, which I'm glad is done. Maigo Scans is working on cleaning the raws as we speak, so it hopefully won't be long before the chapter is out. This time around, we have a lot on our plate for Waai, with Reversible being just one aspect of that. We have raws for the final Sazanami Cherry, chapter 5 of Past Future, chapters 4, 5 and 6 of Onnanoko Tokidoki Otokonoko, and four one-shots from Waai (one from volume 1, one from volume 5, and two from volume 6). All of these we're doing on our own, except Reversible of course. Our first priority is to finish up volume 1 of Otosuki, and we'll be releasing the last two chapters from that volume next. As this is the only volume out presently, no more raws are available right now. Then we'll be doing all the Waai stuff for a few weeks, followed by more Josou Shounen one-shots.

Cross-dressing Secrets!

The fourth chapter of Otosuki is finished, and we're now more than halfway through the first volume. Hopefully it won't take that long to finish up the volume. The one-shot we have today is called Boku no Koto Suki ni Natte by Naya Minadori, and it's the second installment of the previously released Restaurant Debut. In this one, it's the story of how Hirokazu and Tsubasa met. It was in volume 7, Plum Group.

Regarding the recent indefinite hiatus announcement from WOW!scans, we will continue to release Sazanami Cherry and Past Future, and we are also picking up Onnanoko Tokidoki Otokonoko, as well as some one-shots from Waai. We'll also be doing a joint with Maigo Scans for Reversible.

To answer art10sonic1, Henshin! and Kasukabe Koukou Josou-bu currently have no more installments. If any of the one-shots we've done get continuations in future volumes, we'll announce them as they come. As of right now, the only one that has sequels we still haven't done is Josou Debut, which had two more one-shots we'll be doing.

Trap Triple Threat!

Today, we have three releases. The first is our usual Otosuki, chapter 3. The rest of the chapters in the volume are all pretty short, so we'll be continuing to release them with Josou Shounen anthology one-shots. Speaking of which, we have two from volume 7, Plum Group. The first is the fourth installment of Kokuhaku by Anri Sakano. The other is called Boy's be a proud Girl! by Koroha Kiritomo and is the sequel to the earlier Boy's be ambitious Girl!. However, this is a very short, 6-page chapter (7 with the included author's page), so enjoy it because it's over before you know it.

Two Groups of Traps, So Little Time!

The first chapter we have today is the second chapter of Otosuki. It's a pretty short chapter, so we decided to release it with the third (and as of now last) one-shot of Kasukabe Koukou Josou-bu, which appeared in volume 7, Plum Group. This too is a relatively short chapter, but there was a ton of text, so it felt like longer.

There are several differences between this one-shot and it's two predecessors. The first is that this one is almost entirely 4-koma, with one normal manga page at the beginning (not counting the title page) and two more at the end. It's also the shortest of the three at 16 pages. The second difference is that the author, strangely, changed the name of the advisor of the cross-dressing club. When he appeared in the first one-shot, his name is Tetsurou Onigashima, but his name changes to Tetsurou Kikijima in the third one-shot. We thought of mentioning it in the one-shot itself, so anyone reading it wouldn't think we made a mistake, but then that would have cluttered the page, so we left it out and decided to explain it here. The third difference is that there is no extra author page at the end of this one-shot like all the other one-shots have. In fact, this happened to 2 other one-shots from volume 7, and we suspect that this was a printing error for the first edition of the book, since all the other one-shots have their author pages, and no author pages are missing in volume 8.

And there's an update for our Waai releases. The next volume comes out at the end of this month, and we'll be getting the raws from a provider shortly after. We'll likely release Sazanami Cherry and Past Future some time in early September. As for our Oto Nyan release, Otomegokoro no Jiyuugata, the third chapter is still in limbo and we don't know when we'll get our hands on the raws for the time being. WOW!scans seems to be in a period of hiatus, so we don't know when things will start rolling over there again.

Finally, we do not intend to scanlate Fudanshism, and we do not believe that will change in the future.

Edit: There was a small mistake that has been fixed. There were two extra pages in the original release of ch. 2 that shouldn't have been there. The first is a nearly blank title page, shown below, which has been removed entirely since it's unnecessary. The second is a sketch of Nao, also shown below. That page is now at the end of our ch. 1 release, and the links have all been updated. You don't have to download both chapters again if you already did.

Welcome to Cherry Girls!

We are proud to announce that we have picked up the manga adaptation of Otoko no Ko wa Maid Fuku ga Osuki!? (Boys Like Maid Clothes!?), otherwise known as Otosuki, drawn by Chikage Mitsukura. The manga is based on a series of illustrated short stories published by Hobby Japan on their website. The stories have been running since May 9, 2008, and are written by Natsuki Hiroue and illustrated by Akira Kasukabe. Shortly after the stories began, a fan translation group called Yuuwakuwaku started translating them, which can still be read on their website. Sadly, they stopped updating at chapter 9 in March 2009, and since then Hobby Japan has released 31 chapters, and the more recent ones are linked at this page. If nothing else, the illustrations are beautiful, so even if you can't read Japanese, we would recommend you check those out. We hope you enjoy your stay at Cherry Girls!

And we are still continuing our work on the Josou Shounen anthologies for the time being.
