To the Ends of the Earth!

Finally, here's chapter 91 of Usotsuki Lily with the end of volume 14, including Komura's very wordy afterword. With this, we have officially completed 15 volumes of Usolily! And although the manga is ending soon, there are still 14 main chapters left in (we assume) two more volumes, in addition to another volume for Boy's Lily. How can this manga end in only two more volumes? It feels like there's still so much more to go into, especially now that we've entered this arc. As for volume 15, it will be out in April, and we might get to it in May, but if not, probably June; we'll see.

As a side note, there is an interesting figure that appears in the afterword. Komura mentions that Usolily volumes have an initial printing below 1/10 of Kimi ni Todoke. This is actually fairly accurate, going by recent sales figures which show that Kimi ni Todoke outsold Usolily by almost a factor of 13:1 in October (Usolily is 33rd on that list).

Coming up next: the rest of Sweet Magic Syndrome volume 2, and also, Comic Rex just came out, so we'll be doing a new chapter of Himegoto soon, too.

Never Gonna Let You Go!

And now for chapter 90 of Usotsuki Lily, leaving one more chapter and the afterword in the volume. Enjoy.

You Can't Help Who You Really Are!

One week since it's last release, here's chapter 89 of Usotsuki Lily at the start of one of the final arcs in the series. Two chapters left to go in the volume.

Magic Comes in All Shapes, Sizes and Tastes!

In trying to deal with some of our backlog before we get back to the rest of Usotsuki Lily volume 14, today we are releasing chapters 12 through 17 of Sweet Magic Syndrome, which is about the first half of volume 2.

This is also a relatively timely release, since it was just announced that Kiniro Mosaic (another 4-koma published by Houbunsha) is getting a second anime season. Also, if you didn't know this already, Sakura Trick runs in the same magazine as Sweet Magic Syndrome (in fact, they both started in the magazine's debut issue). And on a related note, the anime of Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara airs next month, and Cuteg illustrates the original light novels. So who knows, maybe we'll be seeing an anime of SMS next year or something. Hey, we can dream, can't we? The rest of SMS v02 will follow after Usolily v14 is done.

If You're Me, Then Who Am I?

So, with the release of Usotsuki Lily chapter 88, we're now halfway through the volume.

Edit: Typo on pg. 19 fixed.

What I Would Do for You!

Today, we are happy to celebrate not only the release of chapter 87 of Usotsuki Lily, but this is also our 100th individual release of the manga! In addition to 87 main chapters, there have been 9 individual releases of bonus content, plus the 4 chapters included in volume 0.

Thank you to all the readers who have stuck with this manga up until now and will hopefully continue to its ending later this year. We've noticed, especially more recently, that as time has gone on, Usolily has become the sort of manga where either you love it or you hate it. Some can't handle the repetitive plot devices (various uses of love triangles, amnesia, and the time loops) or the focus away from the main couple, sometimes for a large number of chapters (the Taiyou/Kanae/Keiko arc, the Naota/Reina/Kage arc), but we feel that those things are what make this manga unique and worth working on. Usolily is very much a character driven kind of story where you read it for the characters, not for the plot, of which there is very little to no progression. So, take it for what you will as we move ever closer to the end.

In other news, there have been some rumors as of last month that Kuragehime is getting a live-action movie adaptation. If so, there should be an official announcement sometime later this year, probably when volume 14 comes out in September (assuming it doesn't come out earlier for some reason).

In a World Where 1+1=3!

Moving right along, here's chapter 86 of Usotsuki Lily. Too bad we missed White Day by a few hours, but obviously, quality control trumps everything. But we did post this just in time for Japan's annual fertility festival. Please feel free to click on the link provided and learn all about this glorious day in Japanese culture. And hey, there's still St. Patrick's Day this Monday. Enjoy.

A Cross-dressing Deja Vu!

Finally, after an unbearably long 42 days, Usotsuki Lily makes its triumphant return with chapter 85 at the start of volume 14! Yes, it has been 85 main chapters, and a slew of additional bonus content making up volumes 0 through 13, but as we all know, all things must eventually come to an end.

Last month, it was reported that the manga would end at chapter 105, meaning that as long as there are no gaps in the serialization between now and then, Usolily should end on May 5th. That leaves us with only another 20 chapters in the main series, and at least two more volumes, 15 and 16, but the end of Usolily also means that Boy's Lily will finally get its own volume release after nearly a year and a half of waiting since the serialization began in October 2012. So even after the main series ends, there's at least that to look forward to.

Usolily has been a constant companion for us since day 1 (indeed, Usolily was the initial reason which led to the creation of Hachimitsu Scans), so while it will be sad to see it eventually go, we are privileged to have the chance to work on such a unique manga from beginning to end.

It Takes Two to Swordfight!

Okay, so chapter 5 of Kenjutsu Komachi is done, so we're once again all caught up with it until the next chapter is released in late April.

What it Means to be Cute!

Finally, here's the last two of the ongoing series in Waai: chapter 9 of Boku to Boku and chapter 10 of Otasuke Miko Miko-chan. As mentioned before, we will be looking out for Waai when/if it comes back from its suspension, or any further volumes released for any of these ongoing series. In the meantime, we'll be focusing on our other main projects, such as Usotsuki Lily, which we'll be restarting soon. There are also a few one-shots from the last few issues of Waai we never got around to doing, but we still plan on releasing those at some later date. So with that, enjoy the double release, and hopefully we'll be seeing more of Waai's ongoing series in the future.

Jump in the Line, Rock Your Body in Time!

Here's chapter 3 of Zettai Fukujuu Game, one of the series that had the unfortunate circumstance to begin serialization right before Waai was suspended. Hopefully we will get to see more of this one.

Paying the Devil His Due!

Our second release today, in collaboration with Deus Ex Scans, is chapter 16 of Himitsu no Akuma-chan, the final chapter. Hope you all enjoy the end of this series, even if it was kind of rushed.

Do What Feels Good!

Although we missed getting this out on Girls' Day, here is chapter 2 of Super Family Complete. After reading it, some of you may ask about Family Complete+, in which contains not only the three previous one-shots we released (Family Complete, Family Compilation, and Family Contact), but also contains one additional one-shot with Kouji as the central character; and the volume also contains some additional one-shots by Kamaboko Red, a few of which we've also done. We may eventually buy the Family Complete+ volume so we can do the final one-shot, but not at this time.

The Return of the Trap!

Today, we are very happy to present a double release in collaboration with Deus Ex Scans. The first is the fourth and final chapter of Boku no Geboku ni Nare! (and this time it's for real). We were very surprised to see that Assa was able to release a more definitive ending to the series instead of that train wreck from the last issue of Mahalo readers of the series will know about. This time, the ending is much more satisfying, so enjoy.

The second release is chapter 6 of Hikaru to Hikari, also surprisingly published in this issue of Waai. This is also the second-to-last chapter, and with Waai now suspended, it is possible that the last chapter may just be released in the series' second volume. We'll be on the lookout for it if that's the case.

The Art of Being Cute!

Comic Rex came in a little quicker than expected, so here's chapter 5 of Himegoto's Rex edition. Another reason for the quick release: this is a very short chapter, but please enjoy it nonetheless. The good thing is that with Waai on suspension, the chapters in Rex should hopefully be longer than recent chapters.
