All the Beauty of the Sun!

Finally, here are Madowanai Hoshi chapters 26, 27 and 28, ending volume 3. Also included are a few bonus pages at the end of the volume. Currently, Ishikawa only just recently started releasing chapters again for the next volume last month, so naturally, it's going to be a very long time until volume 4 comes out, most likely next spring around March or April. One of the great things about working on Moyashimon when we did was that it was already complete, so there was no waiting for the volumes.

So the wait sucks for this series, but consider the fact that we worked on a combined 16 volumes and roughly 3,300 pages for both Moyashimon and the first three volumes of Madowanai Hoshi over the past year and a half or so. Not bad for the promotion of science in manga. Interestingly, an interview of Ishikawa in English was recently posted, and it gives some insight into the manga he writes. Most of the interview is about Moyashimon and Junketsu no Maria, but there's also a little bit about Madowanai Hoshi.

Maybe someday Madowanai Hoshi will even get an anime, like Ishikawa's other manga Moyashimon and Junketsu no Maria, although if it does, it probably won't be for another 2-3 years or more, if ever. This series may not be as popular as those two, though, so whether or not it would get an anime is unknown, but I guess anything can happen.

In the meantime, next up, we'll be working on Eden no Otome v02 and Shiomi-chan v04 once it arrives (it gets released in a few days). After that, the fifth and final volume of Kamieko comes out later this month, so we'll be finishing up that series pretty soon. Then in July, Shimanami Tasogare's fourth and final volume comes out, so we'll be able to give that series a proper conclusion, in addition to doing the same for Ookami Shounen around the same time. And this month also marks the 1-year mark for Shounen Oujo's most recent ongoing hiatus. Considering Utako Yukihiro recently started a new series last March, it may still be a while before she gets back to Shounen Oujo, so all we can say is, the wait continues.

Edit: Typos on pg. 11 in chapter 27 fixed and reuploaded. Replace with this. A fix was also applied to chapter 22; replace with this.

  2. Thanks for your hard work, 8-mitsu Scans!

Sorry to be so nit-picky, but on page 151 it should be "Celsius", not "Celcius". (and did you see my earlier comment about Poynting vectors?)

That aside, it's going to be a long wait until the next volume. Long enough that there's a good chance of Planet Nine being discovered in the meantime. I'm really curious to see how Ishikawa handles that, if it happens...

Summary: Friday marked the 40th anniversary of Charon's discovery. Happy birthday, Charon! And may I say, you're MUCH cuter than a certain bunny-eared moon I could mention. You can come orbit us any time!
