After much anticipation, and probably the most comments we've gotten on a post in months (thanks a lot, by the way!), we are pleased to present part 2 of Nisekoi Boyfriend. As mentioned before, there are three other BL one-shots in the same volume, and although they aren't gender bender-related, we are going to do them.

ReplyDeleteThis is the first time, I've read a genderbend where the 'girl' counterpart has about the same amount of screentime as the 'guy' (who actually looks like a guy). That, and it's bl. The whole misunderstanding was amusing. Thank you all so much for scanlating this. I look forward to the three other oneshots.

ReplyDeleteBesides, awesome gender bender with a touch of BL. It's actually somewhat rare that they show both sides of the coin (especially when they get into the action), so to speak. I'm in heaven.

@Hachimitsu scans: Totally okay with you doing some BL, as long as it's cute :) Will this be a one time thing or will you branch out in the future?
ReplyDeleteWe tend to focus on gender bending manga, so if it isn't in some way connected to that (like the 3 extra one-shots being in the same volume as Nisekoi Boyfriend despite not being gender benders themselves), it's unlikely we'd consider doing such a project. Of course, there may be some exceptions, say if/when Ataru Yamamoto puts out something else, we may consider doing it, but who knows.

I really am glad to read this manga. And I currently am going to get my own copy to support the artist as well since I really like its artwork. My japanese wasn't too good to read the whole manga by myself. So, I will stick to your translation to understand the story. Glad to know you will translate the whole chapters. ReplyDeleteI mean, a seme trap? That's pure gold there. Seme trps are the rara avis (or the holy grail, I'd even say) of trap mangas. Yet... not only is the MC one of the densest motherfuckers ever, but... THE TRAP GOES BACK INTO GUY MODE FOR THE SMUT SCENE!!??? W.T.F.
Thats absurd. It's like ordering the most expensive pizza in the menu, just to throw away the delicious toppings and eat only the flavorless crust. It's plain retarded.
