Love is But a Hug Away!

Today we're pleased to present Ayumi Komura's one-shot Alice that was published last August in The Margaret. What makes this one-shot really interesting is that despite being published in a shoujo manga magazine full of typical boy/girl stories, this is actually a shoujo-ai oneshot. Also, you may recognize the two main characters as having appeared in Mori no Takuma-san chapter 19, which was originally published in Margaret a few days before Alice. And as to why it's called Alice, your guess is as good as mine, since there's nothing in the story that gives an explanation for the title. The story is as follows:

Haruka Asakura doesn't like hanging out with other girls, but after she reluctantly transfers to an all-girl high school, she meets Kanata Fujiwara, a tall girl called the prince on campus. Unlike other girls, Haruka finds Kanata easy to talk to, leading her to uncover feelings for her newfound friend.

Although probably unlikely, we would love it if Komura decided to turn this into a series, just like what she did with Usolily which also began as a one-shot. Komura's next series will probably be announced in the next 2-3 months, unless she's gone on an extended break, so we'll be looking forward to that announcement.

  2. That was good. I definitely wouldn't mind more of this one. Even if it was just a couple volumes.
