It is My Lady, Oh, It is My Love!
Finally, we come to the end of Hanayome wa Motodanshi with chapter 9, which also includes a few comments by Chii and her husband in the afterword.
And thus completes our third series of the year. This was a very unique series, not only for its subject matter and approach to transgender issues, but also because it's an autobiography, the second one we've completed after Kakukaku Shikajika. We are grateful that we had the chance to do a series like this, and right after it was released less than a month ago. Perhaps Chii will put out something else related to transgender issues in the future, and if so, we would do it in a heartbeat. So please enjoy the end of this series in all its cuteness.

Happily Met, My Lady and My Wife!
Today we are doing something we've never done before: release something on Leap Day. We missed our chance to do it four years ago, but there was no missing it this year. And so, here are Hanayome wa Motodanshi chapters 7 and 8, leaving just one chapter left in the series.

If Music Be the Food of Love, Play On!
It took us a few days, but here are Hanayome wa Motodanshi chapters 3 and 4. This is by no means an easy manga to scanlate, but we'll gladly take up the challenge if it means doing a series like this, which generally are very few and far between.

Your Marriage Comes by Destiny!
Every so often, a series comes out that not only do we have to do, but we as a group were born to do, and this is undoubtedly one of those series. These are the first two chapters of Hanayome wa Motodanshi (The Bride Used to be a Guy) by Chii, a one-volume autobiography:
Chii and her husband are like any other happily married couple, except for one thing: Chii was assigned male at birth. Chii details her autobiographical account of growing up with gender dysphoria and ultimately deciding to transition in her early adult years. Shortly after Chii starts transitioning, she meets a man who is instantly enamored by her, and although he is surprised when Chii eventually tells him she used to live as a guy, he still wants to go out with her. As Chii continues to transition, her boyfriend supports her through the process, culminating in their marriage once her transition is complete.
Chii originally started blogging about her transition in early 2011 when she was in her mid-20s, and shortly thereafter began drawing 4-koma related to her experiences and LGBT topics in general. She also has a Twitter account, and draws a couple of other manga on comico. Although Hanayome wa Motodanshi does contain some 4-koma, most of it is in a regular manga format. Also, the first chapter is in glorious full color. So if you're ready for an incredibly cute story about love and acceptance, please check this one out.
