A Cross-dressing Surprise!

We know this may come as a surprise, but we found some free time and just decided to release these three all at the same time. We aren't officially off of our hiatus, though, so our usual two chapters a week schedule won't fully return until after St. Patrick's Day most likely. With that said, we have Usotsuki Lily chapter 15, Kuragehime chapter 16, and Otomegokoro no Jiyuugata chapter 2!

As you probably already know, another scanlation group, The Black Abyss, picked up Kuragehime from chapter 20, where the manga begins deviating from where the anime left off, and have also released chapter 21 thus far. What happened is that they didn't want to wait for us to release the later chapters that the anime didn't adapt, and since we couldn't stop them, there was nothing we could do. As such, while we never originally intended to hand Kuragehime over to another group, as we still love the manga and working on it too, there is not much point in releasing chapters that have already been translated. And anyway, our reason for scanlating the manga was to bring this wonderful manga to many more people. As long as the scanlation continues in some form, that's what counts. If, for whatever reason, The Black Abyss drops the manga, we'll continue the scanlation. So, for at least three more chapters, we'll be doing Kuragehime. When we release Kuragehime chapter 19, we will announce what new manga we'll begin scanlating in its place.

And now for some last bits. For Kuragehime chapter 16, it comes to the end of episode 8 in the anime, and the chapter title's origin should be obvious. The fourth volume of Waai came out, so we hope to soon release the latest chapters of Sazanami Cherry and Past Future as soon as we can. Sazanami Cherry even has two color pages this time, so please look forward to it! The next Oto Nyan volume won't be released until late April.

  1. Excuse me, but what is the status of Sazanami Cherry?

I mean the translation, cleaning, RAW, etc

Because currently IT'S THE ONLY SHONEN AI MANGA that I read XD

  2. Thank you for the hard work, and continue enjoying your hiatus. It is definitely deserved.

Concerning Kuragehime, though I am ecstatic to hear you plan to continue up until ch. 19, I am extremely bothered bothered by the Black Abyss' decision to take on the project (though they are one of my favorite scanlators and I appreciate their work greatly). I have plenty reasons to be mad about this development, but I'll not whine about it.

I only wished they would have contacted you (well, what do I know) about it and that both groups came to some agreement.

Thank you for everything. I'll be eagerly awaiting your next project.

  3. I only want to read your version, that is all that i have to say. I respect your work a lot and i love your projects. I've been following Kuragehime and Usotsuki Lily since the first chapter and for Kuragehime i don't want to read it from another group. I know that is not worthing to work the same chapters at the same time (i work in a translation group too), but think that you have faithful fans. We prefer your excellent quality. Please don't drop Kurage-hime :(

  4. Yeah, TBA pulled the typical dick move that lots of scanlators do on this one. This would be why WOW! doesn't share raws of stuff we work on or are sharing with other groups. Kudos to you for not dropping it in frustration and finishing out the gap Hachimitsu.

  5. The Black Abyss's Kuragehime scanlations don't measure up in quality compared to yours. I wish you wouldn't drop it, but I understand why.

  6. thanks so much for kuragehime!!!!!! and thanks so much for not dropping it!

  7. You shouldnt let TBA group push your group out, you have a great fan base here in Hachimitsu in which your group worked hard to build, your fans including me enjoy all your works and especially your translations, your work is top quality and always appreciated among all your fans.

  8. Aww, I'm glad you're not dropping it right away. I really love reading your insights on the chapter titles and such. You put a lot of love into it!

  9. I didn't even notice another group picked it up until I saw your guys' release. I plan to follow you guys for as long as you scan Kuragehime~! Thanks for the releases!

  10. Thanks so much for all your hard work on this wonderful project. I know you have probably made your decision but it's frustrating to see you get pushed off the project. Personally I prefer your work because it has a lot of quality and I have really looked forward to your releases... Anyway, thanks again. :)

  11. You introduced me to Kuragehime and I would rather read your scans of it than someone else's, as it is clear to me that you put a lot of love and care into each chapter. I respect your decision, though (not so much Black Abyss'), and look forward to the last few chapters from you. :)

  12. Thanks for the releases, have you already decided what you'll do after kuragehime ? Because there's another manga by komura Ayumi, Hybrid Berry that contains a little of gender bender (it begins at the end of chapter 5) and has been release only until chapter 7 by osuwari team that have closed down i think. It only have two volumes and it's a very good manga. You can read the first chapters in mangafox.

  13. Thank you very much for your work on Kuragehime!

Though I have been reading manga online for quite a while, you were the first scan group that I took notice of for your frequent and high quality releases. I am sad to hear that you will be ending your work on this series due to The Black Abyss's actions; I've really enjoyed reading it as it was released by you.

Again, thank you, and good luck with all of your current and future projects<33

  14. I'm going to add my voice to the lot saying that while I understand why you're dropping Kuragehime, it (TBA stealing your project, that is) still sucks and I'd rather read your release. Oh well. And thank you for finishing up to chapter 19--I know a lot of groups in your situation wouldn't.

  15. Thank you for dedicating to us your precious free time! <3

I'm quite sad you're dropping Kuragehime, since I love your work! But I can get your reasons... :(

  16. I don't like your decision to drop Kuragehime, I'd rather read your scanlations, but I FULLY understand it.
What I don't understand is why TBA would pick Kuragehime randomly out of the blue. They picked it up on chapter 20 when you guys were on chapter 15 already! Would it hurt to wait just a little longer so the scanlations would catch up to where the anime left off? (And by "little longer" I really mean little, 'cause your work is so fast! And the quality is unquestionable.)
TBA didn't like when some group started doing random chapters of Shiki and now they're doing this with Kuragehime. Honestly.

Anyway! Thank you for these releases, even though you're still on your hiatus! You're great. <3

  18. Noooo, Kuragehime!

  19. I won't start reading The Black Abyss releases until you guys are done!

  20. I think it's kind of rude for TBA to "pick up" Kuragehime all of a sudden when they KNOW there's a group actively working on it!! It's very admirable of you to settle this in such a mature manner, because I understand how frustrating it can be. But if they only release a chapter in like a few months then I'm really gonna... =_= I like your quality and speedy scans more.

Anyway, thank you for introducing me to this great manga and we will always appreciate the effort you guys put into scanlating this manga for us.

  21. I appreciate your level-headedness almost as much as I appreciate the hard work you put into your scanlations. Looking forward to your next project.

    Cheers!

  22. I agree with most people here, I really don't want to read other version but yours, of Kuragehime; your quality is/would always be the best :D I understand why you decide what you decide, and I respect that... but I secretly hope that TBA drop Kuragehime soon so you can pick it up again ;DDDDDD

  23. Thank you for these chapters! And enjoy your break! I already commented about your decision to drop Kuragehime after chapter 19 in your previous posts so I won't do it again. I perfectly understand but that's really too bad. I doubt The Black Abyss will be able to release good chapters at a consistent pace. But we will see what happens... I support you and your decisions anyway. :D

  24. It's a shame about Kuragehime, and could've been avoided... but what's done is done. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful series to my attention (of course all your projects are pretty great). I'm looking forward to your upcoming project.

  25. It's really too bad for kuragehime, you made me discover this manga and i love it...
Now i need a bit of your help...

  26. You guys are too awesome, enjoy your hiatus!

  27. Thanks guys. We appreciate it and it really is a sad day from the massive earthquake in Japan, so a little Kuragehime will help me cheer up...maybe

  28. Kuragehime is the best written of the projects you are working on so I understand why TBA or another group would find it wonderful too.
I can understand why you aren't interested in doing double scanlations of the series: after all, it gives you time for other series, whether it be reading or scanlating. May you discover other series that makes you as excited about scanlation as this one has.
