Be True to Who You Want!

Today we have two one-shots from the latest (and possibly last) Josou Shounen anthology, volume 15, Ribbon Group. The first is Kanojo na Senpai by Madoka Hoshino. Nishizawa is free for Christmas Eve, so he agrees to go shopping with an upperclassman from his school. However, Nishizawa is surprised to find him cross-dressing when they meet up in town.

The second is Kawaii Ano Ko no Himitsu wa ne by Seisuke Akari. Susumu and his cross-dressing friend Yuuya Kiyose enjoy going to card shops and playing a trading card game. Susumu is starting to feel uneasy about all the attention Yuuya is getting from other guys.

  1. I am legitimately upset, nay, irate that they didn't actually kiss in the first one.

  2. Could you explain a bit more, why it should be the last volume?

    1. We are simply assuming this is the case, and would be glad to be wrong, however there are several factors to take into account. First, Ichijinsha has yet to announce a new Josou Shounen volume after v15, and it's been over 5 months already. Second, several of the ongoing series (Josou Debut, Boku no Koto Suki ni Natte, Zenryoku Otome) all got separate volume releases recently, meaning no more chapters would be published in a Josou Shounen volume, or at least this has been the case for other previous series (Kokuhaku, Kasukabe Koukou Josou-bu, Dousei Chuu). Also, five of those ongoing series had their last chapters in either volumes 14 or 15, meaning they were trying to round up those series before deciding not to continue the Josou Shounen volumes. But it still remains to be seen if the series will continue or not at this time.

  3. All these one shots of late have been adorable. It's too bad that we may never see any sort of sequel to them.
Thanks for taking the time and translating all of these!
